Find A Professional NZ ("we", "us", "our", or "the platform") is an online directory and messaging service operated in New Zealand. The platform enables customers to discover local service professionals and facilitates direct communication between them.

Find A Professional NZ is a connection platform only. We are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a professional, and we do not employ, vet, endorse, or guarantee any professional listed on the platform.

By creating an account or using the platform in any way — whether as a customer or a professional — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from the use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.

You may browse professional profiles without creating an account. However, you must create a free account to send or receive messages through the platform.

When creating an account, you must: • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. • Use a valid email address that you own and have access to. • Be at least 16 years of age (customers) or 18 years of age (professionals). • Not impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your password or allow others to access your account. Find A Professional NZ is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to keep credentials secure.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, contains false information, or is used for any purpose we deem harmful to the platform or its users.

Using Find A Professional NZ as a customer is completely free. There are no subscription fees, booking fees, or service charges levied on customers at any time.

As a customer, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. 1.Find A Professional NZ is a directory and messaging platform. We do not provide, manage, or supervise any of the services offered by professionals listed on the platform.

1. 1.It is your responsibility to assess the suitability of any professional before engaging them. We encourage you to read reviews, review work photos, confirm pricing directly with the professional, and ask any questions you need before committing.

1. 1.Any contract for services is made directly between you and the professional. Find A Professional NZ is not a party to that contract and accepts no liability for the quality, timeliness, safety, or outcome of any services delivered.

1. 1.Pricing displayed on professional profiles is indicative and may not reflect the final price for your specific job. Always confirm pricing directly with the professional before work commences.

1. 1.You must use the platform's messaging system for genuine service enquiries only. Sending spam, unsolicited promotions, or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited.

1. 1.You must not attempt to take professional relationships off-platform in a way that is designed to circumvent the platform's purpose or harm its sustainability.

By listing your business on Find A Professional NZ, you agree to the following:

Once the Early Mover Plan closes, new accounts will be subject to a one-time joining fee. If you cancel your listing and wish to rejoin in the future, a rejoining fee may apply at the rate applicable at that time. Joining during the Early Mover Plan locks in fee-free access permanently.

The platform provides a secure in-platform messaging system for customers and professionals to communicate.

You agree to use the messaging system only for lawful, legitimate purposes related to the engagement of services. You must not use the messaging system to:

• →Send spam, bulk messages, or unsolicited advertising.
• →Harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate any other user.
• →Share content that is offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or illegal.
• →Solicit personal financial information, passwords, or sensitive data from other users.
• →Attempt to divert transactions off-platform in a manner that harms Find A Professional NZ.

Find A Professional NZ does not routinely monitor messages but reserves the right to review message content in response to reported violations, legal requests, or to investigate platform abuse. By using the messaging system, you consent to this possibility.

Your personal contact details are shared at your discretion. We encourage both parties to use the in-platform system until they have established a sufficient level of confidence.

Find A Professional NZ encourages customers to leave honest, accurate reviews after a job is completed. Reviews are a core value signal on our platform.

We will not remove accurate, honest, negative reviews simply because a professional disagrees with them. The integrity of our review system is fundamental to the platform's value.

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on Find A Professional NZ. Violation may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform, and may be referred to the appropriate authorities.

You must not:

• →Create fake profiles, fake reviews, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or business.
• →Use the platform to engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity.
• →Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the platform without our express written consent.
• →Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or interfere with the platform's systems or security.
• →Post or transmit any content that is defamatory, discriminatory, hateful, threatening, or obscene.
• →Use the platform in any way that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• →Send unsolicited commercial messages or spam to other users.
• →Attempt to manipulate search rankings, reviews, or any other platform feature.
• →Use the platform for any purpose other than its intended use as a service directory and messaging tool.
• →Encourage or facilitate any of the above by others.

Find A Professional NZ takes the safety and integrity of its platform seriously. We will cooperate fully with New Zealand law enforcement and regulatory bodies where required.

You confirm that any content you submit is your own original work (or that you have the right to use it), does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, and does not violate any law or these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where you are a consumer.

If your account is terminated for breach of these Terms, you may not re-register without our express written consent.

Find A Professional NZ may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• →Sending an email to your registered email address.
• →Displaying a notice on the platform when you next log in.
• →Updating the "Last updated" date on this page.

Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform and may delete your account.
